Empowering Higher Education: The GREENVERSITY CORE Framework is Now Live!

After over a year of rigorous research and cross-border collaboration, the GREENVERSITY CORE Framework is now live, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of Higher Education. Built upon an extensive analysis of 13 global ‘gold-standard’ case studies and a deep dive into the ‘green skills gap’ within the modern workforce, this framework provides a practical, evidence-based roadmap for educators. By translating the high-level GreenComp model into an interactive toolkit of learning objectives and assessment rubrics, we are empowering lecturers to move beyond sustainability theory and equip the next generation with the systems thinking and ethical resilience required to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

From Policy to Practice: GREENVERSITY and EU Projects Shape the Future of Sustainable Education

The recent F6S Innovation webinar, “Shaping the Future of Quality & Sustainable Education,” highlighted how EU-funded projects like GREENVERSITY are transforming lofty policy goals into tangible classroom results. By moving beyond “teaching green” as a standalone subject, these initiatives utilise frameworks like GreenComp to embed sustainability directly into the “neurons” of Higher Education, fostering the systemic thinking required for a world where all jobs must eventually become green jobs. From XR4ED’s use of Virtual Reality to personalise learning to Youlead’s “serious games” designed to spark local entrepreneurship, the session showcased a unified commitment to bridging the digital divide and equipping every individual with the resilience to navigate the green transition.
